My reading is eclectic to say the least. I ricochet between cozy mysteries, science fantasy, nature writing, self-help, science, classics, shifter/paranormal romance (yes, I know – smut. I’m riddled with guilt…lol), how-to, gardening, martial arts, humor, YA fiction, religious/spiritual, children’s picture books…I read it all. And I read fast. Usually 3 books simultaneously: one self-help or other non-fiction, one serious book, and one to relax. Since I am so varied and quick, I thought I could occasionally recommend some of the books I have recently enjoyed. (I’ll leave out the smut. We all need to have our secrets. And guilty pleasures.)
Here are ten books I have greatly enjoyed recently:
Theo of Golden, by Allen Levi
BUGS up close, by Lars-Ake Janzon and John Hallmen
Lilian Jackson Braun’s The Cat Who series
The Land of Sweet Forever, by Harper Lee
Ernest Hemingway on Writing, Edited by Larry W. Phillips
Somehow: Thoughts on Love, by Anne Lamott
The Paper Magician series, by Charlie N. Holmberg
The Elegance of the Hedgehog, by Muriel Barbery
Good Grief, Granger E. Westberg
The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating, by Elisabeth Tova Bailey
I am currently, while driving, enjoying on audiobook (although some of them I have read before), the Discworld Series, by Terry Pratchett.
Happy Reading!
